As a GROW signatory, Roadside Services and Solutions is growing its commitment to bringing more jobs to the Greater Geelong area.

Roadside Services and Solutions continues to grow its influence and reach in working with disadvantaged communities and groups.

Roadside has signed the GROW Compact, a community-based initiative in the Greater Geelong area which addresses long-term and entrenched disadvantage in the G21 Region (the 21 postcodes of the Greater Geelong area)

As part Roadside Services and Solutions signing to be a GROW signatory, Roadside Services is growing its commitment to bringing more jobs to the Greater Geelong area.

Roadside Services and Solutions managing director Craig Woods says, “We are committed to employing local Geelong services which employ disadvantaged people in the delivery of our civil, maintenance, guardrail and signage solutions to the Geelong area.

“We’ve already started work on our action plan and been identifying companies who employ people from disadvantaged backgrounds who hail from the Geelong area.

“We are looking for partners to our business who work with us and share our vision for a more inclusive workforce,” Craig Woods says.

“We use local traffic management teams from the Greater Geelong area, including Go Traffic, South West Traffic and All About Traffic Management to assist us with various work contracts we deliver in this region.

“We are proud to partner with Geelong Express Freight and South-West Freight who transport many of our goods and manufactured products.

“We’re proud to now be a signatory to the GROW compact and do our bit to alleviate long-term joblessness in the G21 Region. We continue to develop our business practices and change existing ones to benefit the community members in the regions where we work and look forward to working equally with service providers to our business who engage with the GROW mission,” Craig Woods says.

GROW asks partners to develop new business practices or change existing ones to benefit community members living in targeted areas of disadvantage. GROW is a long-term strategy to generate local sustainable jobs, and support job seekers from areas with high rates of unemployment to have equitable access to these opportunities.

All the GROW signatories are committed to integrating the GROW philosophy that a prosperous community cares for the well-being of all its members into their own company’s values and daily operations. The organisations who have signed the GROW Compact are now considering the social value of their purchasing decisions, identifying potential training and employment opportunities for job seekers from target areas, and investigating the allocation of their routine operation and project spend to local suppliers and products, in line with their business objectives.
