The new Goolwa Sports Precinct will be one of the shining jewels in the crown of Alexandrina Council.
Roadside Services and Solutions and our sub-contractors are proud of delivering this world-class facility to the shire of Alexadrina for residents and visitors to enjoy.
The Roadside team has worked delivering a series of civil and infrastructure works for the Goolwa Sports Precinct over the last 12 months.
The works at the Goolwa Sports Precinct includes three new netball courts and three refurbished netball courts.
The Goolwa Sports Precinct now also boasts cricket nets and new playground/landscape works completed. Roadside also installed 500 lineal metres of various fencing.
A new Lions Club building was also built at the site as well as new club rooms with bar and kitchen, men and women’s changerooms and fitness facilities.
Plants for the Lions Club building were donated by the Victor Harbor Bunnings store.
Roadside Services and Solutions undertook bulk earthworks, major stormwater detention and installing a pump station.
Other work included the base course, hotmix and acrylic surfacing, chainmesh fencing and installation of street furniture.
New court lighting has been installed to the six courts and the oval.
The sports precinct was officially opened late last month following more than six years of raising funds and planning for the sports grounds. Funding was received from Federal, State and local governments.
Present at the official opening of the Goolwa Sports Precinct were: Mayor Keith Parkes, CEO Nigel Morris, MP Rebekha Sharkie and Senator Karen Grogan.
