Although the weather hasn’t been favourable in McLarenvale, come rain, hail or shine, the Roadside crew has been braving the elements for the past couple of months upgrading the McLarenvale primary school sports courts during May and June.
Roadside is the lead contractor to Ventia which manages the South Australian Government Across Government Facilities Management Arrangement (AGFMA) contract.
Ventia manages contracts on behalf of more than 47 government agencies across South Australia, delivering asset management services and infrastructure upgrades for government-owned facilities such as schools, hospitals and police stations.
At McLarenvale Primary School Roadside was engaged to build a full depth court removing the entire old court. The works span over a 1500sqm area including a 1300sqm playing surface.
Roadside has had three staff working on the project every day in May and June. The works have included the laying of 200 metres of stormwater pipes and up to 300 metres of kerb and guttering. A total of 500 tonnes of quarry material and 150 tonnes of bitumen have been laid as well.
Roadside Managing Director Craig Woods says he is proud of the works the Roadside team delivers for Ventia and other customers.
“Excellence, responsibility and quality are the hallmarks of what we try to do every day to create a safer environment for our clients’ projects,” Craid Woods says.
