Visitors to the town of Gawler will be greeted with a new welcome sign on the northern approach of the town at Main North Road and Kestrel Road, Willaston.
The South Australia-based Roadside Services and Solutions team were proud to work on this sign which lists the town’s service clubs, to greet visitors. The sign also showcases the year the town was founded - 1839.
The council tender contained a number of requirements which needed to be met for Roadside to be awarded this work.
Supporting local was key to council’s requirements. With Roadside having a large sign making facility in South Australia was a definite advantage for the Roadside team for council to support local industries.
Furthermore council required strict compliance to traffic control requirements with minimal disruption to local businesses.
The Roadside team led by National Manufacturing Manager Ben Dickson and Business Development Executive Justin Angus met with council officers to carefully review the site requirements and provide detailed information of the exact installation of the sign, time for installation and outline of the traffic management plan.
