Keeping the public safe is an important job delivery the Roadside Services and Solutions Victorian civil works team undertakes every day.
Recently, the Roadside Services and Solutions Victorian civil works team of Daryl Pritchard, Brad Williams, Travis Viney and Eboni Zanon installed a road barrier to keep construction workers safe on busy Oakover Road in Preston.
The safety screen barricaded one lane of traffic to allow Balmain & Co construction workers to work safely on a new multi-storey building under construction at 18-30 Oakover Road, Preston.
The team installed two Energy Absorbing Bollards (EABs), 19 Non Deforming Bollards and 18 screens.
Installation of the EABs involved non-destructive digging for the EAB footings to ensure underground assets were protected at all times. Roadside engaged Enviro Excavations for the non-destructive digging work.
Underground service scanner company Ground Zero was used to ensure the core drilling did not disturb any underground assets.
Roadside Services and Solutions Managing Director Craig Woods says, “I am really proud of the work delivery by our Victorian civil works team. They show a lot of pride in the work they do and our clients benefit from the excellence we proudly deliver.
