Roadside Services and Solutions (RSS) brought a festive spirit to the Strathalbyn Race Club on Sunday, stepping up as the proud sponsor of Race 1 during the club’s highly anticipated Langhorne Creek Wine Region Race Day. The event not only celebrated the vibrant local racing scene but also served as a festive occasion for RSS to host our annual staff Christmas party.
The Langhorne Creek Wine Region Race Day, known for combining the thrill of horse racing with the charm of South Australia’s renowned wine region, was an ideal setting for RSS to showcase its commitment to community engagement. As a leading provider of road safety and infrastructure solutions in South Australia, RSS values opportunities to give back to local communities and industries.
Race 1, aptly named the "Roadside Services and Solutions Maiden," kicked off the day’s racing excitement. RSS board of directors, CEO Craig Woods and wife Mihaela Woods, Chair Douglas Travis and Corporate Affairs Manager Yolanda Torrisi presented the winning connections with trophies, adding a personal touch to the company’s involvement in the event.
RSS employees and their families embraced the festive atmosphere, gathering trackside to celebrate the holiday season. Sharing the undercover dining area with RSS client South Lakes Golf Club who also celebrated their staff Christmas party, staff enjoyed a fabulous barbecue cooked by the Lions Club members, wine, and live entertainment amidst the day’s racing action.
RSS CEO Craig Woods said: “Being part of the Strathalbyn Race Club’s event is a fantastic way for us to connect with the local community while celebrating the hard work of our incredible team.
“We’re proud to sponsor today’s race and share this festive occasion with our staff, whose dedication drives our success.”
The Strathalbyn Race Club praised RSS for their support, highlighting the importance of partnerships like these in fostering regional events that bring together people from all walks of life.
With the sun shining and spirits high, the day was a resounding success, marking another milestone in RSS’s ongoing commitment to building stronger connections - both on the road and in the community.
